GARDEN DESIGN             SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY FOR THE RESIDENTIAL LANDSCAPE

About Joy Albright-Souza

Designer Joy Albright-Souza received a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from UCSC, with a concentration in Agroecology. She is certified in Advanced Design from the California School of Garden Design and is a lifelong artist specializing in watercolor.

Joy's professional background includes work in association with the California Academy of Sciences Department of Botany, the California State Park system and Renee's Garden Seed Company.

In addition to her solid footing in the sciences, Joy's experience as an artist brings a discerning eye for composition and color to her landscape designs. Extensive travel also provides inspiration and insight into how other cultures create gardens, manage challenging climates and have historically cultivated their own native plants. Her heart, however, remains on the west coast where she is honored to be a fourth generation gardener in California.
